Malaysia: A Country United

Hatten Cares along with millions of Malaysians worldwide celebrated Malaysia’s Independance on 31st Aug2014. Just two weeks later we celebrated the official establishment of the Malaysia Federation on Malaysia Day, 16th Sept 1963.

The patriotic celebrations were a relatively quiet affair this year because of the recent tragedies that shattered the nation namely the missing Malaysia Airlines flight MH370 and the downing of MH17.

Nevertheless, the whole country rallied together in shared grief for the victims and stood united in support of the families and friends who suffered the unspeakable loss.

This ‘Merdeka’ and Malaysia Day, Malaysians of all races, ages and religions showed what it really meant to be 1Malaysia – an entire country  wholeheartedly united.
