Enriching Communities Together
May 2020 : If there is but one single positive outcome from the recent international crisis, it is the fact that many businesses and organizations have been pushed to bolster up their problem solving skills and learn to be adaptable like a chameleon to new ways of practice. Under pressure, many have learned that companies who do come out of a crisis are those who have strategies in place for worst case scenarios.
In agreeing that the emphasis should first be on the safety of the people and eliminating risk of spread, Hatten has made every effort to enforce stringent measures in place from the very first day of the offices and businesses being opened again after the 2 months government ruling for shutdown of all operations during the Movement Control Order (MCO).
Some of the key measures implemented in all of our core businesses are daily logs of employees and visitors entry and exit to our premises along with temperature checks and symptoms evaluation, daily disinfection and sanitizing practices, frequent communications to employees on the importance of hygiene practices and social distancing, and maintaining minimal headcount for employees in respective offices that is just enough to ensure that the relevant tasks for business continuation is able to flow smoothly.
Social distancing is taken seriously as employees are seated leaving gaps through emptied alternate work desks measuring 4.5 feet each. Seating arrangements in conference and meeting rooms as well as visitor lobbies are also labeled for social distancing compliances.
All elevators are marked with social distancing guidelines for clear understanding.
Apart from disinfection and sanitizing initiatives being carried out throughout offices, malls, residences, hotels, and others, swab tests were also done for all foreign workers remaining at construction sites.
It was and still is a constant learning journey for all of us. Nevertheless, now that the urgent part of the crisis have been navigated, we can move on to what comes next in planning ahead with a new approach that will benefit our community, workers, and economy.
Once again, Hatten reminds everyone out there to continue their necessary daily lives with caution as the battle has not come to an end just yet. Heed the SOPs and keep yourself and your family safe.
