Enriching Communities Together
Aug 2020 : Our students of K1 Class put in lots of effort to ensure that their ultimate goal for this project, to gift the children of an orphanage with much needed supplies, was successfully accomplished. From the initial stages of planning, to execution, and finally to delivery, the children led the entire project with generous guidance and assistance from teachers, parents and family members.
The course of action for the project started off with the children picking out some of their clothes or toys from home to be part of the gifts to the orphanage. The children were also guided in the sorting process before it was ready for delivery.
One of the very fun part during this charity project was when the children, with the assistance of their parents and family members, had to come up with ideas of food items to make and sell at the mini food drive event that was held within EtonHouse itself. Due to the circumstances of Covid-19, the event was kept small and friendly with parents and close acquaintances showing up to purchase and support these little ones.
Our loving students were extremely filled with joy when all their hard work resulted to a contribution of daily necessities worth approximately RM300. Not bad at all for a small class of tiny little 4 year olds! The provision consisted of items such as rice, oil, diapers, milk powder, cereal, biscuits, and even some little mini puddings for a little added joy to the orphanage children.
